Futureproof your skillset

A unique opportunity

Low Carbon Learning: Next Gen

The sessions will cover knowledge and training in Retrofit, Passivhaus, Digital Construction and Modern Methods of Construction, whilst always considering the Fabric First approach.

It is fully funded through the Young Persons Guarantee (YPG) and supported by Scottish Funding Council (SFC). This programme can support travel to our innovation centre in Blantyre.

Built Environment Skills Directory

This portal maps across Scotland training providers, colleges, universities and online courses available in Scotland with a focus on decarbonisation of the built environment.

It is a tool to guide students and those looking to upskill or reskill within sustainable practices and is a freely available resource.

Student and apprenticeship development

As part of the Schools and Further Education Programme by BE-ST and Hub North Scotland, we have compiled a resource guide for teachers and educators to support student and apprenticeship development.

The guide contains a host of content around sustainable and net zero methods, giving practical examples of best practice, links to industry experience and highlighting resources available.

Skills are an absolutely critical part of helping the construction sector as well as the UK and Scottish economies move towards a zero carbon future. Caitriona Jordan
