Fraser McCulloch

Architectural Technologist, LDN Architects

  1. What made you interested in working in the Built Environment?

I have always been interested in graphical design. When figuring out what I wanted to do for my career I preferred Architectural Technology over Architecture because I always have had a keen interest in detailing and how buildings are constructed.

  1. Why did you join the Built Environment Change Makers?

I am at the start of my career and only being 24, I want to make sure my future is sustainable and secure. I want to bring my voice to my peers, manufacturers and other designers to make an impact on the importance of sustainability for the built environment.

  1. What are your top 3 knowledge areas that you are bringing to the Built Environment Change Makers?
  • Application of BIM
  • Construction site operations
  • Domestic design principals.

  1. What are you hoping to achieve?

There is a lot I hope to achieve over my time in this role however I would like to get knowledge from my peers during this. During my master’s degree, I learnt a lot from my peers as we were all from different backgrounds and I am hoping to do the same with change makers. Having a different view from different backgrounds in the construction industry will hopefully give us all an understanding as to how each of our roles makes an impact in the built environment.
