1. What made you interested in working in the Built Environment?

The built environment isn't just concrete and steel; it's the backdrop to our lives. We spend a staggering 90% of our time indoors, making its design and functionality critical to our global well-being.  That's why I'm so passionate about this field. It's not just about the final product, but the immense ripple effect it has on society, the economy, and the environment.

I'm particularly driven by the potential of innovation to revolutionize the built environment.  Imagine buildings that are not just functional, but climate-positive across their entire lifecycle.  Think sustainable urban development that fosters vibrant communities while minimizing our environmental footprint.  That's the future I'm excited to be a part of.

2. Why did you join the Built Environment Change Makers?

I want to contribute towards ongoing BE-ST actions for shaping the industry's future. The BE Change Makers resonates with me because it aligns perfectly with my perpetual desire to contribute meaningfully. My experience leading a pan-African civil society can help inspire initiatives, activities, and policies that empower the next generation of built environment professionals. In this critical era requiring sustainable development, we need experts who can translate knowledge into action. The Change Makers offer a platform to influence strategic approaches to the built environment, ensuring a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.
