The Built Environment Changemakers are a group of young professionals from all corners of industry advocating for systemic change.
The group shares ideas and makes emerging expertise and views heard throughout industry. The Changemakers meet regularly, and take part in engaging industry with new opportunities.

Alice Davyson
Alice is currently working in the field of building performance, focusing on reducing the energy demand of new buildings while enhancing occupant comfort. She is passionate about improving the performance of Scotland’s built environment and committed to lowering its overall carbon impact. Alice joined the BE Change Makers to engage more actively with the wider industry, seeking to better understand the structures and systems that can drive meaningful, sustainable change within the built environment sector.

Chiara Fingland, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations
Chiara is an experienced Architect and artist with a broad background spanning the private, public, and third sectors. She has worked with a wide range of stakeholders and is deeply committed to supporting communities in taking meaningful climate action as a way to collectively enhance the places we live.
At SCVO, she supports the Growing Climate Confidence project, which helps the third sector take climate action and build resilience. Alongside this, her work with Imagine If. Space CIC focuses on creating space for forward-thinking ideas and translating policy and strategy into practical projects within the built environment.

Moses Itanola, Ulster University
Moses Itanola is a passionate researcher at the University of Ulster, driven by a deep commitment to shaping a sustainable built environment. With a strong belief that buildings are more than just structures, they're central to our well-being. Moses focuses on innovation, circular economy, and sustainable urban development.
As a Built Environment Change Maker, he aims to influence public policy, spotlight upskilling opportunities for young professionals, and champion climate-positive solutions. Drawing on his leadership experience in pan-African civil society, Moses is dedicated to inspiring the next generation to drive meaningful, lasting change in the industry.

Zarja Krevelj, HLM Architects
Zarja Krevelj is an Architectural Technologist at HLM Architects with a lifelong passion for designing spaces. From sketching floor plans as a child to pursuing architectural technology through her love for maths and physics, her journey has always been rooted in curiosity and creativity.
As a Built Environment Change Maker, Zarja brings expertise in mass timber, offsite manufacturing, and natural building materials. She is committed to driving meaningful change in the construction sector and aims to bridge the gap between ambitious government objectives and current building regulations to shape a more sustainable, efficient future.

Hamish Martin, Fife Council
Hamish sits within Fife Council’s Climate Change & Zero Waste Team. He is responsible for Fife’s Local Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) published in November 2023, with a delivery plan in March 2025. He is also responsible for heat network zoning, and wider strategic energy work.
Of interest to Hamish is how LHEES and heat networks can support wider socio-economic priorities and have positive impacts on communities.
He is an active member of the Local Authority Officer LHEES Forum and other groups. Prior to joining Fife Council Hamish worked for 7.5 years in a resource management consultancy.

Eugenia Mompó, Collective Architecture
Eugenia is an Energy Consultant, certified Passivhaus Designer, and qualified architect with an MSc in Architectural Conservation from the University of Edinburgh. She brings technical expertise with a deep understanding of heritage and sustainability.
At Collective Architecture, Eugenia not only delivers Passivhaus consultancy, low-energy design and retrofit solutions but also leads the internal Climate Group, which successfully launched the company’s first sustainability strategy in 2024.
Eugenia was a member of the ACAN Steering Group and was a founding member of a property technology start-up. Her work reflects a strong commitment to climate-conscious design, collaborative change, and practical innovation in the sector.

Jack Sampson, Sweco
Jack is an Assistant Engineer with Active Travel Scotland at Sweco, passionate about designing infrastructure that supports healthier, more connected communities. With a background in active travel infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and stakeholder collaboration, Jack brings a people-centered approach to the built environment.
As a Built Environment Change Maker, he’s committed to advocating for inclusive, sustainable design and influencing policy that benefits both people and the planet. Jack aims to help shape a future where infrastructure promotes well-being, environmental stewardship, and economic growth, while empowering young professionals to play a leading role in the industry’s evolution.

Raphael Selby, Page \ Park
Raphael is a Project Architect at Page\Park, where he focuses on the conservation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings to support a more sustainable and meaningful built environment.
He has worked across civic, cultural, and educational projects, consistently advocating for long-term thinking and low-carbon design. His academic studies explored heritage and identity, considering how preservation can act as a bridge between past, present, and future—a theme he continues to explore through project work and in his pursuit of conservation accreditation.
Raphael is also an active member of the practice’s sustainability group, contributing to the development of firm-wide engagement with evolving guidance and best practices.

Noah Upton, Cotality UK
In his professional role, Noah works as an Energy Analyst for Cotality, supporting social housing providers in developing retrofit programs for their housing stock. His education was always driven by a strong foundation in physics and maths, but a growing passion for the environment led him to seek a way to apply these skills in an environmentally and socially conscious field. Over his time in the built environment sector, Noah has developed a strong understanding of retrofit, SAP, social housing, and government policy, areas of expertise he hopes to continue applying and deepening as a Change Maker.

Chloe Yuill, ECD Architects
With a deep-rooted passion for sustainable design and community focused architecture, Chloëis committed to creating spaces that enhance both people’s lives and the environment. As an Architect at ECD Architects, she has gained invaluable experience across residential, educational, and commercial projects, with a growing focus on Passivhaus and retrofit strategies that prioritise long-term environmental resilience.
Outside of practice, Chloë is an active voice within the architectural community, contributing articles to publications such as the RIAS quarterly, facilitating sustainability dialogues at industry events, and advocating for the importance of continuous learning in the profession.
Now serving as Chair of the Changemakers, Chloë is eager to collaborate with fellow innovators, across the industry, to drive meaningful change and advance sustainability within the built environment.
