This training is delivered and hosted by WARM as part of the Passivhaus in Practice programme. The following quiz should be carried out on completion of both online training sessions titled AECB Carbon lite Contractor Training. Everything within the following quiz, has been covered in the online training session.

Our ‘Passivhaus in Practice’ training aims to promote the wider adoption of lower carbon construction approaches to reduce the sector’s carbon footprint, in line with Scotland’s national carbon emission targets.
BE-ST has launched the initiative to train construction sector professionals in Passivhaus standards - a proven approach to the design and construction of highly energy efficient buildings. These online modules are part of BE-ST's funded training opportunities to boost skills in Passivhaus standards.
Module one, Principles of Passivhaus, will give you a general understanding of the Passivhaus standards.

This is a training programme for construction sector workers who are at risk of redundancy, unemployed, or want to upskill in low carbon construction techniques.
This series consists of 1-hour sessions covering a variety of topics in Passivhaus Standards and Principles. The mini-series is open to everyone to gain a wider knowledge in Passivhaus.

The Low Carbon Passport is a first-of-its-kind, accredited course designed to equip construction professionals with the critical skills and competencies needed to deliver low carbon, energy-efficient buildings across Scotland.
These interactive sessions will explore the core principles of thermal performance, insulation, airtightness, and sequencing. Participants will gain practical experience and insights into testing and understanding building envelope performance.
By the end of this 1 day training course, you will learn:
Why reducing energy demand is important in a building context
How on-site quality can affect the building performance
Considerations required design and construction
The Low Carbon Passport is a brand-new training course designed to help both existing professionals and new entrants develop the practical skills needed to thrive in the future. Backed by major industry partners including Balfour Beatty plc, Morrison Construction, Kier Group, Robertson Group, and the Passivhaus Trust, the programme is led by BE-ST.
