Reimagining retrofit: unlocking resource efficiency and growth

  • Built Environment - Smarter Transformation 3 Watt Place Glasgow, Scotland, G72 0AH United Kingdom (map)

Cut costs, reduce emissions and uncover new growth opportunities from retrofit – and get practical steps you can apply immediately.

If you’re a manufacturer, this practical session will focus on the growing role of high-performance buildings and their associated materials in manufacturing – both as a supply chain opportunity and as a way for you to improve the performance of your buildings.

Held at BE-ST, the workshop will look at Scotland’s National Retrofit Centre, a working retrofit building, and show how the use of high-performance building materials can deliver real cost savings, better energy performance and lower emissions – while aligning with Scottish Government standards and agenda.

You’ll get a clear understanding of:

  • How high-performance building materials can reduce operating costs through improved fabric and energy systems

  • The positive impact on emissions and progress towards net zero

  • What this means in practice for your products, processes, supply chains and estates

Delivered in collaboration with BE-ST, the event highlights how Scottish Enterprise and BE-ST are working together to build manufacturing capability, including plans to deliver LCS-accredited Business Improvement Academy activity from the centre.

By attending, you’ll learn how to:

  • Reduce operating costs through improved building performance

  • Cut emissions and progress towards net zero targets

  • Identify new growth opportunities in retrofit supply chains

  • Understand what this means for your products, processes, and estate

  • Gain practical next steps you can apply immediately
