The framework provides guidance to help duty-holders identify critical roles, responsibilities, behaviour, ethics, skills, knowledge and experiences.

The CIOB – Built Environment - Framework for the competence of Site Supervisors in England outlines a set of competences to support site supervisors and principal contractors within a tailorable framework that provides support to identify responsibilities, roles, behaviours and ethics.

The TDUK – Timber in Construction Action Plan is framework which outlines 17 competencies for practitioners, professionals and stakeholders to identify the essential knowledge, skills, behaviours and meta skills necessary for addressing critical skills and knowledge gaps and to build confidence in incorporating timber into building design.
