Michaela Sullivan

Head of Service for Development, East Lothian Council

Michaela has executive experience in the housebuilding industry, where she led the land and planning functions UK-wide at CALA Group. Prior to this she worked for Forth Ports and a joint venture with SSE bringing forward large-scale waterfront regeneration, energy generation and port development projects. Previously Michaela was Assistant Chief Planner for Scotland with responsibility for policy in the 2006 Planning Act, green belts and ePlanning and a management consultant in Capital Projects and Property with PWC. Michaela graduated from Oxford University with a degree in geography before pursuing a Masters in Civic Design at Liverpool, an MBA at Manchester Business School and has been a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 1992.
